Cookie Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Cookies are small pieces of data a website can store in your browser. This page explains what this site stores and why.
What this site uses
- Language preference: on your first visit, your browser's language decides which language version of the site you see. If you pick a language in the switcher, we remember it in a small cookie (greco-lang) for one year so you aren't switched again. It contains only the language code.
- Your cookie choice: a flag in your browser's local storage that remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again on every page.
- Light or dark mode: the site follows your device's light or dark setting. If you use the sun/moon switch in the header, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage (greco-theme). It contains only the word "light" or "dark".
All three are strictly necessary for the site to work as you asked and don't require consent under the ePrivacy rules. We do not use advertising cookies.
Google Analytics (optional)
Only if you click "Accept analytics" do we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to count visits and see which pages are used, from which countries and on which devices. Advertising features are switched off. The data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. and kept for no longer than 14 months. You can change your mind at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer; declining removes these cookies.
Google Maps
The Location section embeds a Google Maps map. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads, independently of this site, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
If this changes
If we ever add other non-essential cookies, we'll update this page and ask for your consent again first.
